The Interview

Q: What motivated you to build such an extreme rig? A: I wanted zero compromises. When you’re recording 8K VR180 streams, any hitch in disk I/O or encoder capacity results in dropped frames that ruin the immersion.

Q: How do you manage the heat? A: Custom loop water cooling for both GPUs and the CPU. The rig is housed in a dedicated 4U rack case in a climate-controlled room.

Q: Why Cam Software? A: The multi-threaded engine is the only one that can handle the sheer throughput I’m pushing without leaking memory over long 12-hour sessions.
